Born in Silvana, Washington in 1900, Alfred Bruseth worked in Seattle, Portland and Oakland during the first half of the 20th century.  He first studied at the Cornish School in Washington and was both a teacher and a member of the Washington Artists’ Union. Bruseth was also employed by the Works Project Administration as a muralist in the 1930s.  We are pleased to offer an exceptionally fine and detailed still-life collage by this noted Western artist.
