Son of the notable artist Hans Christian Hansen, Erik Mogens Vantore was born in Denmark in 1895 and studied art at Copenhagen’s Charlottenberg Academy and later in Paris and Italy. Vantore achieved both academic and commercial success in his lifetime and his work, which is highly sought after at auction, may be found in museum permanent collections worldwide. We are offering an early and exceptionally fine still life by this important lyrical modernist.
