A substantial, oil abstract comprising overlapping incised triangles in shades of ivory and gun-metal gray, placed in dynamic, arched juxtaposition and contrasted against a smoky charcoal-grey ground.
Joan Puig Manera studied at the School of Fine Arts of San Jordi. His work focused on geometric forms, and he sought to create a sense of light and of movement within his compositions. Manera was a regular exhibitor in the Parisian Salons, (Comparaisons, Realities Nouvelles, Salon de Mai) during the 1950's, exhibiting alongside Kandinsky, Paul Klee, Jean Miro and Max Ernst.
