A lyrical, mid-century watercolor view of New York's Central Park looking towards Fifth Avenue with cherry trees in blossom and the city skyline rising above The Pond. Arthur WcWhorter first studied at New York's American Artist's Professional League and, subsequently, at the University of Washington before settling in Sausalito, California.. A member of the American Watercolor Society and the Society of Western Artists, McWhorter exhibited widely and with success and was the recipient of numerous medals, prizes and juried awards. We are pleased to offer this elegant and atmospheric New York cityscape dating to circa 1950.
