This notable genre and animal painter first studied at the Royal Danish Academy from 1880 to 1884. Over a long career, Mols exhibited widely and with success beginning with the State Museum of Art in Copenhagen (1886) and, subsequently, throughout Europe including at the Paris Salon where he was awarded the Bronze medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900.
