Mosen received a Bachelors in painting from Berkeley in '67 and then a Masters from San Francisco State in '71. After graduation, Mosen actively began her life as an artist and adopted the moniker "Irene Dogmatic". Her talents were sought by animal lovers in the Bay Area who frequently commissioned pet portraits, yet her personal work ranged in theme from romance, politics and travel. As a travel writer, muralist, poet and musician, Irene Dogmatic's paintings are one of numerous areas through which she expressed her creativity. Her work hangs in numerous public and private collections, and has been exhibited widely including at the San Francico Museum of Modern Art and the Galerie du Bout du Monde in France.
